rear disc rotor question (camaro claipers )
could soomebody tell me what rotor is used when you do the camaro rear disc brake swap ? i plan on also using the parking brake on the calipers. just want to know exactly what all is involved before i make the jump.

'94-'96 Impala SS (or equivalent other GM car) rotors. You will need to machine the "lip" off the axle flange, where the drum normally rides on or you won't get the rotor to sit flush. I pulled the axles and has it done locally for $20. You could open the hole slightly on the rotors but then if you ever have to replace them, you would have to remember to do that again. By doing the axles, you can just swap new rotors on whenever you need them.

Sorry, yes, rear rotors.
I got mine from Rock Auto, http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/x,ca...,parttype,1896 the ones tha are $27.79 each (same for both sides). These are Raybesto ones.

My son pulled the front rotors off his 2000 GMC 4x and outside of the bolt holes being larger I think they have possibilities on a six lug setup. 12 inch rotors though. |
