Never believe what you see on TV...duh!

My son came to this realization after the second day (part time) installing a flip kit in the rear of his '77 as we hit 40,000lb on a hydraulic press removing leaf spring bushings so he could put in new Energy Systems bushings (which did not fit and had to be modified). This was not the end of it...had to torch the front spring bracket off since the bolt could not be removed. Had extensively modify the shock entensions as well.

I told him that is why it takes them a week to film a show, the shop is never dirty, nobody swears and questions the lineage of the designers or suppliers and nobody ever throws a wrench! It is a fantasy...welcome to the real world baby...LOL!

Must have been watching "Truckin" on the new TNN. I am going to skip that part of the fun in my restoration project and leave it to the expert so they can have all the fun.

I have never seen a guy who works on Trucks lafffff as much as the guy on TRUCKS TV show...I don't know if he is just confused or just don't understand the whole situation.

(PS I don't laffff much when I'm trying to undo spring shackles)

Cool story. I'm sure next time he'll think about adding more time to the project.

gchemist...got the front drop spindles and springs installed today without a hitch...unless you consider the 15 inch front Cragers not being able to clear the disk brake calipers...LOL! Problem is I will have to drive him to work until he finds or buys some front wheels and tires that will fit! KIDS...what are you going to do with them?
