Replacement gas tanks

Are all the aftermarket tanks from the same source? I need to replace the one on my '85 short bed (daily driver). Classic parts has one for $75.00. I saw one on E-BAY for $45.00? (both tanks are new reprodution tanks)

Re: Replacement gas tanks

they are all pretty much from china but i am not sure if they are the same company.. check JC Whitney they were about the cheapest ive ever seen for gas tanks and the quality was ok last time i needed a new tank and they were a few bucks cheaper than most other vendors and shipping was free over a certain amount of bucks...

When I changed mine on my old truck I got mine from O'Reilly. They were like $100. Worth it when you are leaking gas!

Re: Replacement gas tanks

Did they have one in stock or did they have to order?

Re: Replacement gas tanks

They had to order it from their main local warehouse. Here at our local one if you let them know early enough in the day they can have it that afternoon. If not first thing the next morning.
