Re: Check out this Camper
yeah, I'm always a sceptic.... but I doubt it's an original 4X4... that or it isn't an original camper conversion... seeing he has wood and foam stuffed between the cab top and the camper body...

Re: Check out this Camper
Definitely not factory or a NAPCO. It has budd (dually) wheels on the back and single wheels on the front. That is the wrong front axle for a duallie.

Re: Check out this Camper
would be interesting to see the SPID on this truck. The front rims could have been changed, they are shinny chromes off a newer truck.
It may have been a special order, or added to a 1 ton chassis.

Re: Check out this Camper
That cab-less camper has got to be one of the ugliest things I've ever seen!

Re: Check out this Camper
Is it a pass-through?That would explain what is installed between the top and camper. If not a pass-through,RV supply houses sell inflatable cushions to ride between the top and camper overhang and maybe the owner improvised something. Those are Ford Econoline wheels. Is it a 20 or 30?My hunch says it`s a K/20 with dual rear added.Frame-mount campers are conversions. They cut the cab out at the back, relocate the fuel tank, etc.I see nothing stopping them from converting to dual rear is specified.I`d say someone added the rear, but the camper is dual rear width. So,maybe someone took a K/20 and put a camper and rear on it.The other question would be the wheelbase.Since it`s a wider 1t body I`d think it`s a 133"WB/60"CA which would be a 1t frame.
As a true 67/72 GM truck fanatic,I`d take either one of these over any other motorhome and I like every color they came with.I`ve never seen a baby poop that color. It looks more like squash that tastes great halved and baked with butter and cinnimon sprinkled on it.

mmmmm butter & cinnamon...
That 4x4 would be an interesting one to crawl around underneath. Was it a 4x first, or 2wd?

Re: Check out this Camper
The first one is awesome! That is one of the best looking dedicated camper trucks I have seen. I don't generally like these, but this one I would own.
