'69 GMC Grille Question
I'm wondering about the black painted area on this grille:
My 69 doesn't have this and I'm curious if it's because the grille has been changed or would this have been lacking this black from the factory (maybe a cheaper model or something). |

Re: '69 GMC Grille Question
No yours is correct the LMC catalog does not show the 69-70 version of the grill just the 67-68 and 71-72

Re: '69 GMC Grille Question
just around the edges, right.
Although, they kinda screwed it all up in there description... the 68 grill was run from 68 - 70. |

Re: '69 GMC Grille Question
Andys right the 68 is different from the 67 due to the GMC being removed off the grill and the sdame on 68-70 always forget the 68 in this mix since everything else runs in two year periods so it seems. The 71-72 is diggerent with the addition of the black in the middle the center no longet comes to a point it is kind of like one raos laying on top of another if that makes sence. I will check to see if I have a good shot of the actual grills as mine was originally a 71 and now has a 67 grill on it.

Re: '69 GMC Grille Question
these should be in order...
a 67 grill a 68 - 70 grill a 71 - 72 grill The 69/70, & the 71/72 would have trim around the grill that makes the grill look much bigger. Last edited by Longhorn Man; 04-05-2009 at 11:55 PM. |
