Another what tire size
Ok... the Jimmy has 35's on it with 4" suspension lift. Every once in a while when I really ride it hard and jump things the tire will touch the front inner finder and crease it in. I have a 3" body lift I can put on it but I am afraid the 35's will look funny with a total lift of 7". What does everyone think and does anyone have any pics of 7" with 35's? The other option is to go with taller tires with the lift but I am running 308's for gears so it's good on long trips. 35's run fine with the 308's because I have a SM465 trans with the low gear and the NP241c. Would taller tires be too much for this Transmission - Transfer Case - Axle Ratio combination? Thanks in advance for any replies.

Re: Another what tire size
Yours looks great and I guess a 67-72 lifted is about the same as mine.
Great looking truck.

Yeah.. I really like your rear bumper with the swing out. I have been wanting to get one of those built for my 69 Suburban 4x4.

Re: Another what tire size
Look close I have had two types.
The first pic with the 'camo' mess is my current rear bumper/swing out. I made that one. The first carrier I had is in the other two photos, it was made by Kayline (long gone now). It worked ok, but it was mounted to the body and the frame/bumper so when wheeling the flex from the body and the frame were twisting the gate mounts. The new one I made is bumper/frame mounted only. Something to think about..

Re: Another what tire size
I`d put zero-rates up front and stay with 35s.I love that Blazer.I had a`90 w/4spd & 3.08s that I ran 33s on with spring work that raised it about 2" up front, which leveled it up.I got stung trying to buy a soft top from STC when they went under in a very shifty way.CK5 had them listed for months after the phone was disconnected.ARGH!!!
I now have an`86 CUCV I want to put all my`91 3/4t Burb stuff under(4" EZ-rides,35" MTRs,4L80E,4.10s,14-bolt FF. Did I mention how much I like yours? It looks perfect.Shame about the fender contact.Try those 0-rates.

Re: Another what tire size
Hey Special-K... My soft top is from STC but I have had it about 5 years though. I had tried to contact them recently too and found they had closed shop. I was just courious what happened when you got stung by them? Thanks for the complement on my 89. I really like it and have had it a long time and I don't think I will ever get rid of it.
Why is everyone so against body lifts though? I have a 69 burb 4x4 that has a body lift plus suspension lift and I have never had any problems to my knowledge.
