Good price for a cab

Found a solid, clean, no rust 67-72 cab covered in epoxy primer. It's a bare cab (no glass, column, etc).

What's a good price to offer?

Re: Good price for a cab

Never offer. You may offer more than they will take for it.

I sold a 75 Elcamino a few months ago. Had it listed for $1500 on Craigslist. Would have taken $800 bucks for it. Tired of it sitting around my house.

Guy came, drove it. Asked me what i would take. I said, make me an offer. He said how about $1300??? hmmm OK.

Thank you dude.

Find out what they want, then go from there.

Always wait until they toss you a price. If they say make an offer, offer $1. When they laugh. Say, Well thats what i want to offer. Now what do you want???

Yep. "Make me an offer" means -- "how much money are you willing to give me for it".

Go lowball first.

Re: Good price for a cab

I aleays ask what their "bottom dollar" is when they give it , I always ask are you sure?....Make them negotiate with you....you have what they want $$$$.

The first one who comes up with a number looses in a negotiation usually.

And Always lowball, but if you want it ,be willing, and ABLE to pay.

Re: Good price for a cab

Make him give you a price first, tell him you can't be the buyer and seller both.

Re: Good price for a cab

A good solid cab is "worth" $1,500 in the rust belt,IMO.

Re: Good price for a cab

I`d like to,also.Thegood ones are far away from the rust belt. So,shipping a huge chunk like that will run high plus the cost of cab.To fix one I`d want At least that much for my time plus panels. Then, you have a chopped and welded/patched cab.Hopefully a good job that will hold up.All this makes a clean bolt-on cab at you door worth the big price. It`s the core of your truck.Everything else is bolt-on.
