Your project is looking good. I have a 305, carborated, still in a totaled 84 Camaro. It only has 10k on a fresh longblock. I don't have a lot of experience pulling engines or doing engine swaps of this kind. I have no idea what I need to keep or what I can strip off the engine. Such as all the polution control stuff etc. If you or anybody has any advice I would sure appreciate any feedback. Or if you know of any links that have detailed how to's on this that would help to.

I have an ls1, which si the same basic other dimensions of the vortec motor minus the intake.

All you need to do is buy the ls1 adaptor mounts that bolt to the 5.3 block and they will allow you to use the old style mounts your truck has now.

looks good, i have been thinking about the s10 frame change,but i like the set up upi have. Can you give me more information on the front suspension and 4 link rear axle. What kind, where you bought it.
