Re: Help on vin number
I am not sure but I think the sticker on the glove box lid is where that info.was located. The vin did not have that kind of info. according to your number C=2 wheel drive,E=V8,1=3,900-5,800 1/2ton the 40 I am not sure if it was 04 it means 1970-71 stepside S=built in St. Louis assembly plant 1=1971 year model &15161 is unit built. Hope this is a help to you

Re: Help on vin number
jim, you have bad info, a very common wrong decode.
This truck is a 70, so it can not be a cheyenne, it would be a CST at best since that was the top of the line truck. Does it have a headliner... or the holes for the headliner trim? CE140S115161 C 2 wheel drive E v8 of unspecified size 1 1/2 ton 4 cab and unspecified bed 0 1970 S st louis build plant 115161 the 15161th built at that plant on that assembly line for the 1970 model year |

Re: Help on vin number
I never have looked up at the headliner. on the glove there is sticker residue left over. it reads cst/10 custom. the cheyenne 10 badge fits very well onto the fender holes. anyway to determine which base I have?
