Re: Saturday pics (5-2) Backyard garage musings...
Very impressive see ten. How did you get the bowtie to come out green in the first pic and blue in the second to last?
I've always liked quality done black and white photos...I like the strong contrast. Last edited by Uwe Blab; 05-02-2009 at 08:56 PM. |

Someone was bored!
Awesome pictures. The bowties ones are super shots. I also like the way you used the diffused lighting and showdoing to accentuate the different parts of the truck. Keep up the good work... |

Re: Saturday pics (5-2) Backyard garage musings...
Thanks guys! You are all way too kind! Photography is a hobby of mine that I enjoy, and I try to make sure I get out and shoot something every week. When I have a week that doesn't include any travels, the challenge is especially high for me to find something of interest to share.
If you'd like to see more of the 4x4 try doing an advanced search. For search words type in "Saturday" and user name type in "see ten". I've used that truck a good bit in my rounds of "saturday pics" so you should be able to find plenty of pictures of it that way. The bowtie shot wasn't my favorite out of the bunch, but I did enjoy piddlin with it a bit... |

Nice pics. I always enjoy looking at them. One question though, what are the chances of finding a Ford Brothers license plate like that? My wife's maiden name is Ford and I thought it would be cool to get her one.

Re: Saturday pics (5-2) Backyard garage musings...
I'd say the odds of finding a plate like that are slim...There's a member here that said he bought some from the parts counter of that dealership back before it changed its name. If he ever decides to come off with one I hope he'll send it my way . My dad pulled this plate off of a wrecked truck in a junkyard back in the early 80s. It's gotten a lot of comments through the years. One of my favorites was from a mostly toothless poorly educated shirtless hick at an Alabama cruise night... "Hey look! This trucks gotta ford plate on it! He ain't smart enough t' know that this is a chevy!" (Followed by stereotypical hick laughter).
