Re: Heater/Defrost Please Help!

I just replaced the control on my '68, it's stupid simple. All that's involved is the control panel itself, the snap-in light and the cables. Does the LMC kit included the electrical components for the fan control?

Re: Heater/Defrost Please Help!

I just finished refubing my interior heater components - just take it one step at a time...

1st remove and check control unit operation and fix or replace as necessary. I repaired mine to as good as new.

Remove and check the cables. Mine were very hard to move. Working fine now after lots of lubing.

Then I took out the main heater plenum. I painted it and lubed the pivot points so all is working smooth now.

Then I took out the plenum against the firewall. It's getting cleaned.

Then I lubed the flap pivot points on the engine side of the firewall and that fixed a nasty squeek and makes it move real nice.

I'll be putting it all back together soon and expect it should all work fine.

Make sure you don't kink the cables are put them in to much of a bind. Also when assembling make sure you don't get them upside down when you twist the controller up in the dash. beleive me it can happen!

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
