Gas pedal - without floor studs!
I'm putting new carpet & buckets in my 67 (finally) but I really don't want to cut the carpet for the gas pedal studs. I'd rather have a "floating" style.
Can I use a different year gas pedal? Will 73-87 work? Anything else? If I come up to a dead end I could weld something together, but I'd rather have a bolt on! Any suggestions? |

Re: Gas pedal - without floor studs!
IF you look in the FAQ's some one did a really nice write-up on a no weld 67-70 to 71-72 style gas pedal conversion.

heres the link to Putter's write-up.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...00#post1383300 I was thinking of going this route but will probably go with a lokar style gas pedal now.

Re: Gas pedal - without floor studs!
That's a great write up! After reading it, I think I might make my own from a spare 67 pedal rod I have. Since I'm trying to wrap up carpet install & 99 Silverado bucket seat install I really don't want to extend my down time.

Re: Gas pedal - without floor studs!
I've got a bunch of freshly powdercoated 71-72 pedals if you decide to go that route.
