It's Finally got some color!

tons of issues trying to get this truck painted but here it is. Almost done.

5-13-09 FINALLY SOME COLOR!

Today. I went down to see it with some clear on it. The past 3 days I have been in and out down at the body shop. Laying out the two tone and stripe. I think it turned out pretty good.Thought I would finally post an update showing real progress for you guys.

The bed should be done tomorrow. They we will mount up the bed and once its cut and polished. I'll be bringing it home.

Re: It's Finally got some color!

HaHa.. ya I think they put it in the storage shop just to make the ford bed jealous. I can't wait. By the end of the day today. The bed should be done too. Probably if I had to guess. We will set it back up on the frame on monday. Alittle cut and buff next week and I'm bringin it HOME!!! (been in the paint shop since 6-10-08)

Your right. Thats the one that gave me the idea. Was going to go with black/Silver with burgandy flames over silverleaf. The wife kept on me saying she didn't like the idea but do what you want. I pulled that pic you posted there. And said. Ok well i really like this too. What do ya think of this? She liked it too. So I dug through some color books at the paint shop and picked out the colors. I was alittle worried but it turned out better then expected.

Re: It's Finally got some color!

Still at the paint shop just waiting for the front and back glass to be installed. Had an issue with the windshield seal. For some reason i have 3 sets of the early trim all removed from the 70-72's i have had to put this truck together. Had to get the early seal on the way. Soon as it arrives ill get the windshiled in and bring it home. (Thanks WES from Classic Hearbeat)

Here are some pictures i took with the bed finially installed.

Hopefully I can find some parts to put on it when it gets home.. I'm to broke to pay attention after getting all squared up on the paint shop.
