2005 5.3 Fuel System
Regarding my fual system, what do i need to buy if i have an in tank pump that can more than handle a 5.3 needs. It is a return-less 5.3, but i've heard you still need a regulator like this one(which is also a filter):http://shop.corvettecentral.com/C5-1...-p6021564.html
Also, what kind of line do i need to use? is there rubber line capable of withstanding 58PSI or should i go with braided? ![]()

Any rubber line rated for fuel injection will be braided internally but I'd still check the PSI rating of it before you buy any. Sorry, no help to ya on the 5.3 stuff. |

Use 3/8" steel rigid line as mush as possible. The fuel injection hose is expensive!

Re: 2005 5.3 Fuel System
I just got through plumbing mine, I used dorman hard plastic line, with quick connect fittings like factory. I am using an inline pump, ran rubber from the tank to the pump, plastic from the pump to the vette filter/regular, rubber return, plastic up to the rails. Was about the cheapest setup I found.

Re: 2005 5.3 Fuel System
I got all steel braid lines and AN fittins for my 5.3. It goes from the tank to an inline filter, then to the inline pump. From there it goes to the inline pressure regulator (with a return back to the tank) then to the fuel rails.
