How wide can i go without having the tire stick out. Also what would be good for the front? I dont want little pizza cutters because its got a 454 and it pretty heavy in the front. Welcome to the suspension forum teamcosmo. Your going to have to give us more info before we can make suggestions.
Are you wanting to go with aftermarket wheels, or stick with factory style?

Rally wheels are popular, and won't ever go out of style. Since they are steel wheels, they are durable if you drive a lot of bad roads. They come in several widths, so you can stagger them if you like.
My personal preference is a custom wheel in a larger size. I prefer 20's, but 18/20's look great too. Here's a good example if "similar" trucks and what a difference wheels make-

Re: backspace and tire size ? for 1966
Is the truck lowered or stock height?
If lowered, how much (estimate if necessary)? You mentioned you're looking for 15" diameter. Do you like staggered widths or want them all the same to allow for rotation? 5-lug disc conversion up front? 5-lug axle swap or was the stock rear-end housing swapped for a later model? Knowing the answers to all this stuff will help get you more accurate info.

The truck is factory ride hight. It has 5 lugs front and rear from a 72 chevy. And i like the wider rear tire and small front look and i would like to keep the 15''
