Midwest Board Meet Pictures
-
I just wanted to post a few pictures from the get together and thank all of the great people that attended. Pat and I had a good time. I would liked to have seen a few more members there but I can understand with the gas prices going back up and so many people out of work and having working hours cut. It was a beautiful park and we couldn't believe how clean the restrooms were... Hopefully some of the other attendees will add more pics. I don't know if anyone got a pic of slick71's Blazer or not. If not he will have to post one. I know he didn't make it in the group picture. Kudos and Rep Points to Slick71 for assisting firedog in his moment of distress.. LockDoc

Re: Midwest Board Meet Pictures
Leon, it is great to see some pics of the event. I regretably was unable to attend the meet, and know how much fun I missed out on. From what I've heard, everyone seems to have made it home safely which is good to hear.
To say the least I had 4 members drop by my house on their way home to remind me just what I missed..... Can't wait to see some more pics guys!

Looks awesome, wish I could move back and join you, but there just doesn't seem to be too many jobs in Des Moines right now.

Re: Midwest Board Meet Pictures
Hey Everyone,
I just wanted to chime in to let everyone know I made it home without incident as well. It was great getting to meet everyone and sorry I couldn't stay the night. I had too many irons in the fire for Sun morning. In fact the bed of my green 70 is FULL of mulch and other landscaping stuff for the next week or so while we work on the GF's house. Anyway, I hope to see everyone in Sep (if not sooner).

Re: Midwest Board Meet Pictures
it's eye-vell, not evil
but yeah, that's mine that i and a buddy threw together over the past 9 weeks. Thanks to ToeJam(Chad) it made it home in one piece. I had one of the gauge lines blow out on the way home, and he fixed it by plugging the fitting with some aluminum from a pop can and some rice krispy wrapper. Had a pretty good leak, but held air well enough to get home. |

Re: Midwest Board Meet Pictures
Having been camping with him a couple times...the only time he is evil is when the youngin's need it
Was another good time with all involved. Think I finally got fully re-hydrated at some point today. Glad for all who were able to make it...esp Firedog after the tranny probs (more reps for Slick71 for the transport and storage) At least it happened in K-ville. And also bobbo for the quick d-shaft repair. Sure there will be more meets to get to the ones who couldn't make it No serious issues, just the cut air line from the shifting bed, and it's lengthy delay. And that over-bald tire on Ivel's '69.

Re: Midwest Board Meet Pictures
LOL! Thanks PD! You know we are all obsessed! Thanks to all who had a part in setting this up. And more props to slick71 for the help with firedog's truck! I have said it before and will continue to say that this board has the best group of people! Never a hesitation to help out a fellow member! Props to all! Next year you can all stay in the "hotel" with us! Might even bring the multiple car garage so our trucks can all be covered.
