lowering my truck 2 inches?

I'm thinking about lowereing my 69 longbox 2 inches front and rear. The question i have is how can i do that on the front. Meaning can i just buy 2 inch drop springs or will i have to buy different control arms or spindles maybe. Need to make a decison soon want to have the frame put together by the end of the weekend. The other thing i have thought about is that it is a half ton and i'm putting a big block in it. Can i get springs that will withstand the wieght. I guess this is a subject i don't know much about. Thanks in advance for your responses.

Re: lowering my truck 2 inches?

Cheap way, take your front springs and cut a coil/coil and a half out of them, not sure to tell you about the bb tho, I had my rear leaves dearched, I bet you could cut the rear spring too, or buy new ones, I'm just a tightwad, you get the same look either way!
