69 Workhorse

I got to BSin with this ole boy at the lake the other night, said he bought this truck in 1974 when he retired from the Airforce, Thats the same year I was born! It has been through 3 motors and currently has a 454 in it, he said it has been constantly in use since he bought it, he pulls a camper with her, and uses it around his ranch in Gooding Idaho. Tough old truck, neat story I thought I would pass along!

My son said "if that truck could talk I bet it would sound like Mater from Cars!"

Re: 69 Workhorse

I always enjoying hearing stories like these. They give these old trucks some real character and well deserved respect.

Its like they say, "they still make em, but they dont make em like that anymore". I bet my 02 Tahoe will be in the boneyard or crushed well before its 20th birthday let alone its 40th.
