Re: straight axle?
Not that I am aware of on this forum. You might look at the H.A.M.B (Jalopy Journal) LINK The Gasser craze is in full swing and they are throwing straight axles under pretty much anything.

Re: straight axle?
I'm new at this forum. I punched in "Gasser Trucks" on google and this site came up. Anyway, I have a `67 1/2 ton LB. I have taken off the front group and removed the A-frame. I installed a `59 chevy 1/2 ton straight axle. It is a slow project. I am building a 377 sbc for it. And sticking a four speed behind it. It's just an old mans toy. Not sure how to send pics. Can someone explain how to send pics? Thanks

Re: straight axle?
When you post, look below the text box where it says "Go Advanced". click that and scroll down to where it says "Manage Attachments". Click that and another window should pop open. Click on "Browse" and search your computer for the picture you want to post. Off to the right click "Upload" and wait till the picture is loaded. Then click "Preview Post" to see if everything is like you want it. If it's good then click "Submit Reply".

Re: straight axle?
Thanks Boss,
I'll give that a shot tomorrow. Gotta go for now. Have a good one. Here it is months later. Here's a couple of pics of my straight axle on my `67. Last edited by oldsteveo; 02-27-2010 at 11:24 AM. Reason: Adding pictures |
