Re: Very nice Jimmy on Craigslist

What a couple of great looking K5s!
The '72 Jimmy is definitely not all original though. It's a '69 or '70 grille.
I would like to trade that guy a '72 grille since that's all I have come across for my '70 at a half assed decent price!! Obviously the engine has been repainted, but it is still a damm nice looking Jimmy. I dig the aftermarket A/C setup too!

Re: Very nice Jimmy on Craigslist

I think the listing is wrong and it is a 69 or 70. Exterior door mirrors, inside door panels and the grille is a 69/70 or is painted like my 69 was. Looks pretty original.

Re: Very nice Jimmy on Craigslist

Yeah, your right. That is a '70 Jimmy from the front grille and non-power brakes. The door reinforcement below the wing window and door panels are pre '72. And of course the motor is the wrong color. Why would you paint a motor with " 66k miles"? Jimmy's came out in '70. Blazer came out in '69.

Still nice looking though.

That second add is a peach too. Does it look like it has a small lift maybe?

Re: Very nice Jimmy on Craigslist

I know my 69 had the paint above and below the headlights but I am not sure if in 70 too. The 71-72's had more black paint. Also forgot to mention the seats covers and a single scroll in the middle?

I am patiently waiting for my 72 Jimmy which is planned to be at my house next Monday. I bought it from pictures......Anyway, I will posting pics when I get it.

Re: Very nice Jimmy on Craigslist

Hey John H, as 71Jimmy said, 1970 was the first year of production for the Jimmy, but when I said it could be a '69 that meant the grille could have come from a pickup, actually a '68 even but the '69 or newer upper grille bar would have to be added.
