my trucks broke again
the front blew a bearing a few weeks ago then yesterday my truck broke the rear u bolt. Causing the driveline to crack the rear output shaft on the t case, now i think i want to get something else to mess around offroading and have my current truck tow that out there.

Re: my trucks broke again
wtf? you keep "buying"... why not be patient and FIX?
do NOT condemn a entire truck to being a potiential barn find or a "cube" when you get tired of it.. this site is entirley dedicated to helping you youngin's and (well ima youngin too) and the olders and unknowing to have all the resources they need to fix their vehicles. if your truc was a 2x4 to 4x4 conversion ther is a good chance someone screwed up... just be patient and fix it.. not ot upset you.. but man.. ive had a jeep for OVER 10 years that dosent run.. i will NEVER cube it.. because i can fix it myself.. when GOD/ my wife/ and my children give me the time i would need to finish it.. thank you for dealing with my rant..

Re: my trucks broke again
hmm yeah I would fix it which it sounds like ur planning on doing . Heck when i got my truck there was no rear diff fluid....... After seeing it is a 2wd convert i would go through everything.. One of the "joys" of offroading is breaking. thats why i love wheeling other peoples trucks. With these heavy chevys it does not happen as much as it does with the jeeps but it happens. A truck to just off road and one to tow with is a good idea if you can afford to do it. That way you are not totally bummed when it is down. Its only parts you'll get it fixed

Re: my trucks broke again
You have to realize,a ll wheeling for fun is abuse.Just seeing what it`ll do is.To be able to go out and have fun with confidence of making it without breaking it requires tip-top condition of drivetrain along with upgrades and, most of all, knowing the limits of what you`re working with.Busted axle u-joints are common when tires are larger than recommended as well as with any wear in that area.I mean worn ball joints and spindle bearings as well as the u-joints themselves.
The tail shaft on aluminum t-cases is common, too,on lited rigs.I`m not familiar with your truck or how it was converted, but if I could look at it I`m pretty sure the cause would be obvious. But,one thing most do when lifting and wanting an off road ready rig go with a slip yoke eliminator kit. It`s a vulnerable design for those who like to "field test" their rigs. Then, there`s always going to the bulletproof NP205.It all depends on how serious you are about your wheeling. I went out and busted up my stuff until I got tired of throwing money at my stuff.I just started taking it easy and wheeling very little. It`s either throw money to prevent problems or go for it and throw money fixing it.Four wheeling put`s everything to the test. The factory intention for 4wd is to allow a vehicle to double the traction of a 2wd to enhance what a 2wd was intended to do.They never came with large tires for a reason.they never came with upgrades to enhance off roading for a reason. They know we`ll just take it to the next level and break it anyway. When they see evidence of "wheeling" they void your warranty. You`re on your own when wheelin`.

Re: my trucks broke again
The front will get fixed when i find a d60 from a chevy because the ford dont have u bolt on the pumpkin, and i have 2 3rd output tcase. A 205 and one with a pto belive its a 205 maybe rockwell, and i found that the rear spun the perchs causing everything.
And i am going to fix and use this to tow. That way i dont have to pay a 125 fee to tow it.
