Power steering issues
The power steering problem has been getting worse. It started several months ago when I noticed a squeal every now and then when I would turn the steering wheel. It has gotten worse with the steering freezing in spots while squealing. It's full of ps fluid and the belt is tight. Could it be the power steering pump? If so, do they come with the pulley or do i have to remove the pulley off the old pump? Thanks, Randy

Have you flushed it out good? I had similar problem a while back and it had mositure in the fluid. Flushed it out and it's been fine since.

you can also rebuild the pump and box yourself.. hang onto that pulley since finding the right setup is a pain..

Usually no...you will need a pully puller......also known as a PeePee. lol
If it was me....I'd just get a new or reman and be done with it. |

You will need a helper. Take the low side hose off the pump and crank it up and keep level full with new fluid. Just turn the wheel back and forth until it all clears out good and you have all new fluid in the pump.
