250 6 cyl power steering - A/C Brackets?

I grabed a set of these today at the junkyard, They are off a 76 Nova 250 I6
I got the P.S. pump, brackets, pulleys, A/C brackets.

1) what is the difference in an intergal head engine brackets and non interagal ?
2) are these worth cleaning up and keeping?

Interested in seeing some pics also - I'm no expert by any means compared to some on the site, but I just added PS to my 68 with a 250 six and there are differences between the integral head and non - I have a couple of sets of 6 cylinder brackets that are different I accumulated trying to get my application set up. The AC is harder to find from my experience, the triple pulleys are rare also if you have those.

Re: 250 6 cyl power steering - A/C Brackets?

Thanks guys, I know these are for a 1976 250 I6, I got all the brackets, and pulleys with the P.S. pump and hoses. I guess that if I ever use them I will just have to use a newer 250. they are probably easier to find any way. I am not any expert but I do want to try to put a six in something for a daily driver.

I will post pics ASAP, My computer is down and I am no good with Vista O.S.

Re: 250 6 cyl power steering - A/C Brackets?

I am looking for Factory A/C stuff for my 72 Chevy 250 inline six. If any one has that stuff to sell and could use a little cash, I will buy it. Anything for the A/C or power steering is of interest to me. I also need a correct points distributor.

Re: 250 6 cyl power steering - A/C Brackets?

The integrated head brackets have a interference problem with the tab that bolts to the top of the head.IIRC that is the main difference. Also be aware that the Coil in cap HEI interferes with factory A/C brackets. The one with the divorced coil is supposed to work but I don't have firsthand experience.

Unit 102 72,you need to read the rules on posting for sale ads and Want to buy/What's it worth. An admin may edit your post.PM an admin if you need more help or info with that.

Re: 250 6 cyl power steering - A/C Brackets?

In regards to reading the rules. I am not a computer expert or even amateur for that matter. It took me a few days to even figure out how to get on this site. I have noticed a number of places where people are buying and selling things on this site, so I am just going with the flow. I am not intentionally doing anything to break rules. I am just trying to complete the restoration of my little 72 shorty that was our work truck from 79 until recently. I am also not running a business or attempting to make a profit from my involvement in this site. I am sure over time I will figure it out. Looks like lots of interesting things on here. BTW, so I know in the future, what rules have I violated, and where are the rules? Thanks for your help

The rules can be found in the FAQ (frequently asked questions). I think your post showing interest in wanting to buy (wtb) a part violated the boards rules. You have to be a "payed subscriber" to post a sale or wtb. You can find the exact definitions and guidlines in the FAQ. I'm workin' on this myself.
By the way, you have found THE best sight around!
