Question what have you done this week ?

it seem's like I had not touched my 67 in a long time and got to wanting to ride it down to pigeon forge in september so I started working on it and it hasn't stopped !

#1 put in a 3.08 set of gear's and chunk
#2 drove it a few hundred mile's then changed out the rear end grease
that little job is now done !
#3 took my wheel's off balanced my tire's and painted my wheel's shiny black instead of the flat black like I had them ,
#4 in progress gonna put in a new rear main seal and a new oil pan gasket
(IN THE MORNING I GUESS)
#5 installed new rear brake shoe's ,

I hope after tommorow I will have it ready to go !!

so what have you done this week ?

Re: what have you done this week ?

I looked at my rolling chassis and cab in the garage and then realized it was too hot and went back in the house and ordered more parts for when it is cooler.

Of course you did...isn't that all they're good for! J/K I have two of them.

I wish I was building my bed floor, but instead I got to move and remodel my bedroom (tear out ceiling and carpet, hang new drywall on ceiling, tape, paint, and install hardwood floor) now I'm just tring to get the room back together.

Re: what have you done this week ?

I replaced my Driver's side taillight housing, put in a new temp gauge sending unit (it works!) and put one of those abs plastic covers over my ratty old dash pad. My wife got the cover for me for Father's day, and my interior is looking pretty decent now.

Alchohol works great for taking out water. One pint to 10 gals outta do ya. Don't worry about adding too much it will burn out with the gas.

Re: what have you done this week ?

I worked from 6-10 pretty much every day, but got off early yesterday after a rig move. So today I helped my dad switch motors in his 68. The old 396 burned oil so we pulled it and put a .040 402 in it. other than that, just waiting for monday morning to lay down some pipe and pick up some pipe.

Re: what have you done this week ?

I went to the junk yard and pulled 3 seat belts, and installed them into my 67 C30. Shoulder belts make me feel a lot safer driving it. I also found a sweet saddle blanket seat cover for $2 bucks at the bone yard. It was hot so I didn't start my search for power steering. I also bought a cherry picker and engine stand for $82 bucks at a garage sale for future weekends.

3. fixed no start 69 Olds Cutlass
4. repaired dash lights, coolant leak, shifter problem 55 Chevy wagon
