new paint-job finished

My 69 C-10 was painted purple by p.o. I had it repainted 518 med. green w/ white top. Also decided on green front bumper instead of white. Looks much better in classic gm colors to me.

Looks great! I am considering that color combo myself. Great choice on painting the bumper green too.

Re: new paint-job finished

Hey, your truck looks great. Was that a two stage paint job, base/clear coat? And if so, how many coats. Also, did you have it wet sanded and buffed. My truck is in the process of getting painted that is why I am curious. I was also wondering how long you waited before the first wash?

Re: new paint-job finished

Thanks for all the comments. Yes it has a base and clear coat. I had it painted so not sure if wet sanded or not, but the guy at the body shop said they sanded it quite a bit. I waited 3 1/2 weeks before the first wash. Was out of town though, not sure if I needed to wait that long. Here's a before pic when it was purple.

The truck looks great, and the only vehicle that should painted purple is a old Mopar.
