which engine belt goes to which pulley?

I have had the front part of my engine off; pulleys, alt., a/c, p/s, water pump. So, now that I am about ready to put everything back together,I realized that I didn't remember which of my pulleys carried which belt to which unit ( alt. p/s, etc.). Does anyone have a photo of the alignment of the belts and to which pulley they go? I know that the a/c bottom pulley is an add on, so I am assuming that the front pulley, bottom goes to the a/c, but does it also go to another part like the alt. or p/s?, or are all of them pulled by an individual belt only? Well, I know I should have paid more attention when I was taking it apart, but at the time I had bigger issues. A picture would help a lot. I appreciate you guys letting me pick your brain! (again!) Thanks!

Re: which engine belt goes to which pulley?

you failed to mention what motor is in your truck... or what year.

I'll say, jusr eyeball it. it'd kinda fool proof. Look down the Alt pully towards the water pump (from the side, like over the fender) Then look overhead at the power steering pump and pully...
Shouldn't be too hard to get it figured out.

Re: which engine belt goes to which pulley?

Easyrider, I don't have A/C but mine goes like this:

Groove closest to engine: water pump and alternator
Middle groove: empty (A/C maybe?)
Groove closest to radiator: power steering

If you need a photo or belt numbers, let me know.

Re: which engine belt goes to which pulley?

Belt numbers and lengths and photos would be great. I am going to be putting belts back on from scratch, so any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Easyrider

Re: which engine belt goes to which pulley?

I took pictures at a few different angles to show pulleys and belts. I removed my PS belt because the power valve blew a seal and was spewing PS fluid. If your alternator mounts as stock, your belt will be different from mine. I have headers and the mounting bracket sets the alternator up higher.

My belt #'s (Dayco brand):
Alternator/waterpump - 15560 (longer than stock)
PS - 15348

Link to Dayco belts for 1967 Truck w/327: http://www.mvreader.com/multiview/da...&engine=BLC&l=

The auto parts store can cross reference these numbers to other brands if needed.

Let me know if there is any other way I can help.
