Look at what I found.

Took a ride Sunday to take a look at a 66 Olds Starfire...and came across this. 72 Cheyenne Super. 402...ok looks to be almost a full option truck. Could be a survivor. I didnt see any over spray. Looked at it good...but not totally.

Re: Look at what I found.

Looks pretty clean, but it looks to have been painted, it has the paint divider trim for the two tone roof. That trim was only there on two tone trucks. Was it for sale, would make a nice truck!

Yeah its a lot. They had a cools 67 Caddy coupe De Ville there too. The truck got my full attention when I seen it. I will try to get around there in the next weekend to get a look at it again.

That seems odd, an ac cab that doesn't appear to have tinted windows. Nice looking truck though.

Hey!! Where the hell did my clutch pedal go??!?!?! I always hate to see them neutered like that... Poor thing. There's gotta be a hole for a floor shifter somewhere under that rubber mat.

Was thinking the brake pedal looked a little small.

Here is my brake pedal...as far as I know, it was never a manual trans.

Huh. Must have been the cars that got big brake pedals with no manual trans.

Re: Look at what I found.

That`s a smokin`hot original!!Painted or not.Someone order themselves a nice truck back in`72 and took good care of it.

I`m confused, too.I know Jim runs a 4 on the floor in his truck.I guess he means the factory neutered the big block by putting an automatic behind it?

What`s up with the left front wheel all pushed back?Something looks very wrong there.

yep, they used the same pedal regardless of trans.

Tim... good eye on that front left, something does look out of whack up there.

In 72 almost if not all the 1/2 ton BB I"ve seen had them. 3/4 ton trucks were exempt I think.

Re: Look at what I found.

There is a 69 Suburban for sale by Dins 1 int the trucks for sale section that looks like it has the DS front wheel pushed back. Must be an optical illusion. I think it must be the angle of the picture. You can see the back glass so it isn't a straight side shot. I think it would look better with the white top, But what do I know. Definitely a survivor!!!!!!

Re: Look at what I found.

I might be blind in one eye and can`t see out the other, but I`ve looked at enough of these trucks from more angles than a geometry book (does that make sense?).Not bragging, but that wheel ain`t right.I don`t care who y`are (thanks Larry).

How about the front fender cups? They look rolled under. The front bumper is definately tweeked.

it's been smacked in the front look at the lower molding on that side and the trim doesn't match up anywhere.
