Where to buy motor mounts for a 72 402?

I thought my trans mount was bad, so I pulled it last night and it looks great. Turns out it's my driverside motor mount, appears the rubber split. (72 402)

I've called NAPA, Parts Plus, and Advance Auto Parts and none of them show anything available.

I looked online at autozone and they had something that looked very different than what I have.

Anybody have any idea on where I can get one.

I think the summit ones would probably work, summit ships really fast to if you ordered it today it'd probably be there tomorrow. Their return policy is good too.

We have them in stock. They are ancor part number 2292. They are listed for the 73 and newer big blocks, but are the same as the 72's. I have used them myself. $12.95 each plus shipping. WES

Re: Where to buy motor mounts for a 72 402?

Thanks all, and ...

Wes, thanks a bunch for the info.

If I can't score them locally, I'll be contacting you. I was really hoping to have it fixed already, I need to drive it to Ron's meet and greet on Saturday!

Pretty cool for you to offer up the part number.

Thanks

Re: Where to buy motor mounts for a 72 402?

I bought and used those ones from summit on my 69 with a 402 with little problem - I just needed to add a 1/4 inch plate under them for clearance but otherwise bolt up well, at least for me

And I'd concur that after searching everywhere there really aren't many options around, absolutely nothing for me locally (in Canada) and one or maybe two other online options

Good luck!

Try Carquest. Part #31-2322. I tried to post a pic of it but I can't. If you post a pic of what you need I will see if it matches.

Re: Where to buy motor mounts for a 72 402?

Has anybody used the Summit OEM replacements?

They look completely different than what I have, but do resemble what Autozone was offering.

I was hoping to get this today and get it installed today!

Will a later year work? This is being offered by one of the board vendors:

http://www.classicparts.com/1972-87-...info/79%2D024/

I might be able to go ask for a 73 models mounts.

I wanted to add that I ordered some Summit motor mounts a few weeks ago. They are made in sumflungdung like all of them are nowdays, but they are far and away the nicest ones I have seen in years. Very good quality part. Rubber was sharply molded with no excessive rubber flash. Bolt holes were clean threaded. Very nice.

These were for a small block, not a big block. I just wanted to plug Summit's quality if you were thinking of ordering yours from them.
