Man... I need some HELP!
My truck is torn apart and I dont know how to put her back together!
Any advice and or information would be much appreciated! I had her looking like this: But as you can see I was hit in the drivers side door area. Well that was like 8 years ago. An old lady and a 3 year old boy now the K5 is ready for some much needed quality time. If anyone could offer some tips.. I am trying to destroy as much rust as possible. Taking the outer rockers out, trying to salvage as much as I can. Started like this straightened out that rockerbox and now this: Anyone recommend some patch panels for that rear door pillar and the front door pillar? this what I need? or is that not going to do much good? what about the rear? my only option that custom fab'd piece that goes $130 a pop?

Hey, welcome back to the board. I used to keep an eye out for your truck in the area, but I haven't seen ya on the board in so long that I figured you must have sold it...
Unfortunately, all your questions are way over my head.

Re: Man... I need some HELP!
Hey Bouncy,
Good to hear from you. It's been a long time. Haven't sold the Blazer, giving her the TLC she needs. It sure is some WORK THO! I thought it would be a quick fix 'er up and have her out for summer but it doesn't look like thats happening. I haven't driven her in almost 3 1/2 years. I got locked up in Monroe for 2 1/2 so the Blazer sat. But she's getting some major band-aids and should look good come around the end of the year I hope. Maybe have you over sometime, Im up in Lake Stevens now. Take Care.

Too bad you missed the XXX Root Beer Truck show. There were quite a few local board members in the area.
Locked up in Monroe? What ever you did, don't do that again. You're Blazer needs you.

Re: Man... I need some HELP!
Good thing about that crossmember is you can modify it to clear your oil pan...add spacers to the flanges, cut crossmember in half, remove material to fit up and weld back together, or call Kert
Patch panels are available to fix that entire area, the ones in your pics will do you no good now

XXX Root Beer Truck Show?!?! sounds like a hell of a good time! What a name!
Yah that Crossmember is versatile aint it! Going to paint/seal it and get her bolted up. The PO hacked the crossmember in half so I knew this part would be a MUST!
