Talking Who's got the power?

Just curious everyone, How much Horse Power do u got? Have you ever took it out to the track? Whats your time? I wanna build a nice truck but I want the power their when I ask for it. I dont want a trailer queen, but I dont want a drag truck. Something in between.

13.5 IS quick, especially if he can do that at 6000 ft Damn this mile high air.

My old 85 w/zz4 4:10 700r, best time I pulled here was 15.01. My blazer w/454 th 400 3:73 and lots of cam should be quicker once I get my gears and eaton installed next weekend.

and especially since these trucks are about as aerodynamic as a brick.

I just wasn't sure what the guy on the video said, I would love it if my truck would do high 13's

Re: Who's got the power?

my son ran the truck a few times.his company at the time rented out the drag strip for a company picnic and employe's and their families could drag race complete with the officials, timing, and even an announcer.i'm going off memory here from a few year's back.but,i think it was in the 15's at 90 some miles an hour.does that sound right ? i even have a video clip of it.if i can find it.

Re: Who's got the power?

My old roommate had an all steel 47 Chevy running the 1/4 in the 9s. And that is at altitude! Come run 'em up here and you will think something broke. It makes a world of difference.

Re: Who's got the power?

I've got about 600hp w/350th, 4.11 gears, spool, 2800 stall, pair of predator carbs for tha track (when I get it there), decent built 402, just got tha truck and got it running about 2 weeks ago. Should be at the track soon. It feels pretty quick. Trans brake and spray to come.

My cousin left off the throttle because we were not moving!! We started to move however the tires were still smoking when he manually shifted it to third! I love that 700R4.
