4spd/400 trans swap

THIS SITE IS GREAT Its what this country’s about.
I have a 67 long bed cst, 327, 74 camaro 4 speed, 4:11 posi.

Im replacing the 4 speed with a 67 truck 400 turbo , external trans cooler with an external temperature switch & a floor shifter.

What I don’t have is the trans kick down switch & mounting bracket, trans cross member, the front driveshaft.

Hows the b&m th400 kick down switch ?

Does anyone know of an aftermarket transmission mount with the correct drop, or have one available, a front driveshaft for the 327/400t combo, and for sure any & all input is welcomed.

Trade 411 posi for a 308 posi that fits, anyone???

FOR SALE ex. Manifolds drivers side alt mount, original dist. & wires.

FROM A VIETNAM VET……. TO ALL SERVICE MEN AND WOMEN.......THANKS TO ALL FOR THE GREAT JOB……U R APPRECIATED……..MY WAR WAS DIFFERENT……bless you

Re: 4spd/400 trans swap

I have run a turbo 400 with no kickdown for 15 years. Some say you don't need it some say you do. Never used the B&M kickdown switch. Lokar also makes a very expensive kickdown kit that mounts the switch directly to the trans and uses a cable to actuate it. You can also run a full throttle nitrous oxide micro switch on the carb and wire it to activate the trans kickdown at full throttle for about $15-$20. This is the cheapest way to go and should work fine. CPP probably makes a trans mount that will work.
