New Truck!! 69 c-10

Fairly new member here. I posted in the new member thread with my 86 c-10 i have which now is for sale. Just got this truck last night from N.H its all original with a straight six three on the tree. Its in awesome shape couldn't be more happy with it. here are some pics.. had a few questions.. can i flip the wood over in the bed? Also and disc brake set ups from other chevys work for this truck? I do plan too lower it but i notice the drop spindles require disc brakes.

Re: New Truck!! 69 c-10

Thanks guys and girls lol. I bought it for 4500 which i think is a good deal.. The truck has been painted but they stuck with the original color. Even has the warranty booklet and owners manual too!

I like that paint too. And 4500 sounds like a good deal!

I too was wondering if you have to have discs when using drop spindles.

put straight bleach on a paint brush, brush it on the wood and wash it off with water. you will be amazed at how good your wood will look

Is that vermillion metallic paint? My 68's stock color was similar to your truck's.

Technically you can't flip over the wood because there is two grooves on each plank to accept the skids and they're only on the top side of the plank. If you put grooves on the bottom face you'll weaken the wood too much.(especially old wood) If you are planning to using drop spindles, go with disk brakes at the same time. You'll be glad you did it. BTW, you got a really nice truck for what you paid for it!
