OMG! A RARE Three Door
http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/cto/1299285890.html
I know nothing about this sub. I just know how interested everybody is in getting their hands on a rare 3-door.

Re: OMG! A RARE Three Door
You had me worried there for a bit. I didn't think they were rare either, and I was about to head back out where my friend used to have one. Has anyone seen one where someone added a driver's side door to make it a true 4 door?

Re: OMG! A RARE Three Door
I don't think its that clean, from the pics it looks like its all rotted out about 6" up the driverside in front of the rear wheel. But when you consider the how rare it is maybe thats ok

Re: OMG! A RARE Three Door
I hear that all the time with mine. I can't help but wonder where the idea of this being "rare" came from?? I gave up on correcting people that all the Burbs these years came that way...

Re: OMG! A RARE Three Door
Even here in California I hear it all the time, about three weeks ago while pumping gas in my 72 Cheyenne, some guy who looked like he just paroled asked me if I was interested in buying a suburban? I kindly replied no and said thanks anyway, he quickly stated that this one was very special to him and that it needed to go to a ''good home" and he would not sell it to just anybody, he then leaned very close to me, and whispered that it was A "Rare Three Door". Well I immediately looked around both ways, like to make sure no one was whatching, and whispered back slow " They Are All Three Doors" no thanks.

Re: OMG! A RARE Three Door
I don't know, the first one I had was a 69, It only had two doors....
I sold it because someone welded up all the windows in the back with steel "panels".....

Re: OMG! A RARE Three Door
THAT THING`S A "5" DOOR,ISN`T IT???!!!
I guess we haven`t joked about the rare 3 door or awhile. We never had to explain before. It may look rough, but the seller says rustfree panels have been installed.

Re: OMG! A RARE Three Door
I was only joking, thus the smiley. It seems like most folks think their sub is rare because of the third door.
That sub in particular looks like most 1972 era vehicles up here. 37 years driving through salt 5-6 months out of the year takes its toll. I'm hoping the picture is a before shot. Before he/she installed the rust free panels as advertised. It sure looks rusty in the picture.
