12v switched ignition source???

Im hooking up some electric fans on my '85 4x4 Sub.....got it all done but the relay calls for a 12v switched ignition source.....Im having trouble finding one in the fuse box.....theres not many spares.....anyone know of any specific spots I can use??.....theres some that are marked "shunt"....could I use those??.....thanks

take a test light to your fusebox, probe it while switching key on/off.

take the front pannel off below your steering colum there should be a flat row of wires at the begining of the colum. about half way down the colum there some more wires heavyer gage or bigger wires then usal should be an orange 2 reds a brown maybe a yellow or purplbe and there should be a PINK wire test with a meter or test light that is your ignition wire tap in to it and fuse it and that will make it so your fans turn on and off with the key
