One piece drive shaft length?

I picked up a one piece drive shaft that I believe to be out of a 67 swb. Just curious if someone could help me to verify that this is correct. I guess the only way to tell would be the length. Any one out there know what that is? Thanks
Michael

Re: One piece drive shaft length?

I don't know if our trucks came stock with One Piece Driveshafts.. I have had two trucks a 71 and a 72 and been around several stock trucks long and short beds and never have seen them with One Piece Driveshafts, unless they were changed out. I am sure the experts will chime in...............

Re: One piece drive shaft length?

best way to tell if driveshaft will work for any application is to take tape measure and measure what you need and what you got

Re: One piece drive shaft length?

Short bed, 6 cylinder, 3 speed trucks all came with factory 1 piece driveshafts.

Re: One piece drive shaft length?

I have a 1 piece driveshaft out of a 67 it was 53 inches, when I installed the BB it was 1 inch too long so I had it cut and rebalanced.

Re: One piece drive shaft length?

Thanks for the input guys. Not sure if it will work for my application cause I dont know what Im gonna go with. Just trying to find out if it is indeed from one of our trucks.

Tx Firefighter:
Thanks for clarifying that for me. This did come out of a short bed but not idea on the motor/trans. combo.

Ont67shortbox:
This one was out of a 67 too. Where did u take your measurement from? Thanks.
