1962 front drums and ball bearings
The inner and outer ball bearings went out on my 1962 C/20. They are extremely expensive to replace. My question is that if i were to get the drums and wheel bearings off of a 1963-1966 would they slide right onto the spindle of the 62? What is the best way to take care of this without spending 150 bucks on new bearings?

Re: 1962 front drums and ball bearings
quick search of our forum found this:
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...wheel+bearings I'm not sure if the swap info applies to 3/4 ton, but you may be able to match bearing numbers cheaper than NAPA, as one poster suggests. Here's another good thread: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...wheel+bearings Larry Last edited by fleetsidelarry; 08-15-2009 at 04:48 PM. Reason: added thread |
