New here!!

Hi am new here just wanted to say hi and show you my project. This is the way it looks now.

http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/k...n/IMG_3260.jpg

http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/k...n/IMG_3259.jpg

The plan is to change it to a big back window, LS engine, with 18s on front and 20s on rear. Long fun road ahead first on list is to blow it apart and spend frame off to get coated.

Re: New here!!

This comment may start another debate, but here goes. When these trucks were designed by Harry Bentley Bradley, the rear window was made the size that is on your truck. His own comment was that it had a more limousine-like feel than a Panoramic back window has. In addition, '68 models don't have that small window and that makes your cab more exclusive in the '67-72 world. For the amount of work involved in making that alteration, I'd consider just leaving it as it is and take that amount of work/money and use it on something else that you would like to do.

Oh, and welcome to the site and good luck on your project.

Nice project truck !
I guess that puts me at x4 for keeping the small window. How easy is it to find a 67 shortie period ? I found a short stepper and I wanted the big window but I decided to keep it small window. It just gives it that 67 flavor ! good luck with it !

Re: New here!!

I will give it some thought guys on keeping the small back window but I have had alot of these truck small and big back window and I hope this will be a keeper and I really prefer the big back window. Also the cab is not in good shape it would take more time and money to get it in good shape as I am going down to the frame anyways. Plus I already picked up a good big back window cab for $100 in alot better shape then this one. If anyone want to come to south east KS I will make them a deal on it

Here's my $.02 Yes small window looks unique but also looks ugly. If it were mine I wouldn't hesitate to make it a big window. Its your truck do it the way you like. You will be the one looking at it every day.

Re: New here!!

You might take some close up pics of that cab and put it up for sale on here.

Goodluck with the build though, and let me know how hard it would be for me to talk you out of that Coronet in the background!!
