Re: All Chrome Grille
I bought the painted and chrome one from GMC Pauls and removed the paint with acetone.

Re: All Chrome Grille
Like mine? Well mine started out as one with the black around the edges, but i stripped the black off and made mine a solid chrome grill.

Re: All Chrome Grille
I did the same. I personally think it looks way better without the black accents.

Re: All Chrome Grille
When using the acetone do you rub it on or what? Then what do you do? Anything special? Or just wax it?

Re: All Chrome Grille
I just rubbed the acetone on with a rag and took off the paint. Then I used brasso to polish the chrome where the paint was. It'll shine right up!!

Re: All Chrome Grille
Use the acetone in a well vented area, preferably outdoors. I think mine took about a quart and a few rags but pretty easy. I then just used turtle wax chrome polish and it came out great. See pic above.
