can u clean chrome v. cover breathers

My chrome valve cover breathers are getting grimey inside,can you soak them in something to clean them out and reuse them or just buy new ones

There might be another brand out there but as far as I know K&N are the only ones that you can clean and reuse

Those breathers are packed with steel wool. You can soak it in acetone, paint thinner,reducer, whatever. That will break down the nasty oil which has accumulated inside. Shake it out, let it dry.
