Exhaust tip idea

Ok, I was cruisin yesterday when I got behind a newer Dodge Ram with dual exhaust out the back. I wish now I had run him down and asked him about it. He had nice chrome straight cut cannons out the back. Yeah that's normal, but what's now is that on each tip was the Dodge emblem mounted like a flapper on stacks. It looked sweet in my opinion. I do alot of custom exhaust work so I have most of the materials, but I'm wondering if anyone has seen this before and what the best material for the bowtie would be. Something that can withstand the heat, but not be so heavy as to block off the exhaust flow and cause unwanted back pressure. Any ideas out there? Wish I had some pics.

SOUNDS COOL

But I wonder what it would sound like in a cupla months ,year when all the joints get some slack.I use to drive a 79 PETE with those flappers on it ,was cool till u tried to talk to someone while it was running (clang, clang). It got pretty annoying so we yanked them off.Find out more if u can they sound like a good idea though

I agree with them clanging shut. We had them on the M-88 A1 in the army. (the tank tow truck) When ever it sat at an idle, they would clang shut as it idled...a real healthy lope in that idle too. (1900 cubic inch twin turbo deisel....with no mufflers)

You all talking kind of like the flappers on tractors with stacks?? I have seen some Chevy ones for sale someplace. Also saw some on a truck once ( they were skulls or something like that ) and they made a bunch of racket at idle as mentioned above.

I'll see what I can figure out and if I can make "quiet" flappers too. Maybe I can market them. Just gotta be careful of the legal peoples.

As long as they open, there should be no legality issues. Remember that after the cat, the EPA don't mess with exhaust.
