Here's the scoop, see......

Literally. I finally stopped screwing around with my project camper long enough to get my new scoop on the Jimmy. You'll also notice the OG badges are back on.

I just fell in love with my truck all over again!

Not like it needs to be said but, let me know what you guys think....

And one with the camper!

It does look like it belongs there. I like it!
If there was a way you could replace the insert with more of a square pattern like the hood has it would look even better.

Re: Here's the scoop, see......

Looks good. When I was out in the desert this last weekend I saw one on a cab over Ford that was installed backwards and chromed. Must have been to let the hot air out of the engine compartment to defrost the windshield on those cold desert mornings! I had not seen a Ford cabover like that one in many years, I forgot they even built them. Usually we all remember the flat front Ford tilt cabs. This was a true cab over with the short nose and seperate hood. I wish I had my camera with me!

In general I love hood scoops. It fits, and works - and I agree if you could come up with a similar mesh it would tie it in even better.

Sort of needs to grown on you... either square pattern from the hood or scoop pattern on the hood? Maybe the all white makes it stand out a bit more than some like? Any shots of the fab, install, and under the hood. If it's going to be fuctional - show us the money.... Really dig the era trailer and / or boats. Maybe a CrisCraft with matching details.

Beauty truck!

Cort, I love the truck! That's pretty much exactly how I envisioned my truck looking when I'm finished. Solid black stock rims with chrome lugnuts, white walls, turquoise and white paint. Perfect.

Can you tell me exactly what color that is and where you got it?

Thanks! The color is gulf green, it is actually an International color. It was painted by the PO right before I bought it.

Thanks Dave. I am mulling over the idea of painting the camper to match, but it will have to wait because the Nova has dibbs on the painting money (whenever it may come)

I would LOVE to have that Suburban!
