Re: Got a Chevy so can come back
It is not uncommon for folks to remove the trim. It was (is) real expensive to replace. Most folks I know from when these trucks were somewhat new, it they got in a fender bender or were going to do some repainting, it was very common to remove all trim and fill in the holes before painting.
Here is a truck with your two colors. Not the right paint scheme for a 71, but it was the only one I could fins with both colors together real quick.

Re: Got a Chevy so can come back
It's just an option group. If I remember right, it's the top of the line option group for 71/72. Is it special, depends on who you are. To me, not really.

Re: Got a Chevy so can come back
That I do not know, but from hearing form others, it does require a few certain words in order for the job to get accomplished.

Need Help, looked under truck everything looks good except on cab mounts. The cab mount looks good but there is a block of wood in between the cab and frame is something missing?

Re: Got a Chevy so can come back
Looks like you need a new body mount set as I think you got the rare corvette option on body mounts..

Re: Got a Chevy so can come back
I finally started to restore on the left side cab now, I replaced both lower pillars, outer floor that has inner rocker need to do a little work on new cab corner to fit correctly at the body crease.
I have floor rust at very back of floor under gas tank is there a patch panel for it? |
