Kansas City Road Trip

Took a road trip to Kansas City, Kansas to see Tony Smith of 4-5-6 Chevy Trucks. Tony sold me a Great 62 GMC Suburban 4X4. We met at high noon at his shop. Tony and his son Cole gave me a tour of his shop. He has a bullpen full of great rides and shop full of well organized parts. It was nice to meet the man on the site that shares so much of his knowledge on these old rigs with everyone. We loaded the suburban and chained her down, back on the road to Arkansas. Thanks Tony, for the fine piece of history and yours and Cole’s hospitality. Tony and Cole is in the first picture.
Tim

Congrats on your GMC 4x4..

You bet, I eat breakfast with Dub every Saturday and Sunday. Instead turning south off of Hwy 22 to Dub's, you turn North to go to my place on the ridge. If you ever need anything when you are down here, ask Dub to get hold of Big Tim.

Tim:

Thanks for the kind words and all of your help loading. Cole was a handful, so I couldn't have done it without you. I really hope the Suburban is what you hoped for and more. I really enjoyed working on it and getting everything installed and working properly. She isn't perfect, but she will make a great rig.

Thanks for making the trip and I will get the factory oil bath air cleaner and the corrected paperwork to you in the mail soon.

Take care and keep us posted on your progress.

Big Tim:

I packaged and shipped the factory oil-bath air cleaner this evening, via UPS-Ground. I also included a pair of factory reverse lights with the factory pigtails, that I found in my inventory. They will do you some good, since the '62 has the holes for them.

I will mail the affidavit after I receive and sign it.

What are your plans for the Suburban Tim? It looks to be in good shape from the pics.
