bed cover for '68 stepside
I'm trying to find a soft tonneau cover for my '68 k10 stepside(preferably white). i checked out a company named extang who makes white tonneau covers but they do not make one for a stepside before '88. i was wondering if any knew anywhere else i could find one or if someone knew the bed dimensions so i could find a cover for a comparable size and make it work. i would measure it myself but i am in Indiana right now while my truck is in massachusetts. thanks for the help

Re: bed cover for '68 stepside
the beds are the same bedsides as a 73-87 stepside, if that helps. I am also looking for one for the same exact truck. Let me know if you find something

Re: bed cover for '68 stepside
CDowns is right-on.
There's a boat seat & cover & canvas-awning shop here that could have you in & out same day. Bound to be one of those close to you somewhere. Based on what little I know about geography, there's bound to be some water somewhere close to you. Where there's water, there's always boat upholstery shops. Most every town of any size has an awning-maker. Those guys deal with this type project daily. |

Re: bed cover for '68 stepside
I have a longbed stepside which is virtually impossible to buy aftermarket and I wanted a soft cover. I found a place about ten miles away, an upholstery shop. The made me one, installed all the snaps and even put an edge all the way around it in a color that exactly matched my truck. A beautiful job for $225. BTW, I could pick any color I wanted. You just need to call around. I found this place in the yellow pages.
