whats this plug for??
Still dinkin around with my 86 c3500, cant find a home for this connector, looks like it plugs into my air cleaner, but whats it go to??

Looks like for the AC compressor and fast idle solenoid. Can't see the plug too well from the angle, but that's what the wire colors and the general location of that plug correspond to.

I'm guessing maybe choke, as well. That's about the location of the oil-pressure switch that runs the choke. Just below there, behind the distributor, almost up against the firewall.

I'm pretty sure Pyro is right; AC compressor. On my 90 R3500 there is a mating plug from the engine harness that carries it to the compressor. The harness this is coming from looks to be the AC harness; a little hard to tell from this shot, but I'm all but certain he's right...
You can probably get along without it up there, but it'd be high priority in Texas! Travis |
