1ST. Gen stock skid plates
In the process of swapping out my dana 20 t-case for a NP205. I have always wanted a skid plate for that area. Seen some pic's of the stock plate, but it's been awhile. Don't see too many out there. Anybody out there got any pic's of the stock plate or any custom setups?

Re: 1ST. Gen stock skid plates
The stock ones were pretty basic.
I always wanted to put a skid plate on my blazer back when I was doing a lot of rock crawling. I never got around to it. With a 205, I can't say that it's really needed. Mine has kissed plenty of rocks and all that ever happened was a few scrape marks. LOL!

Re: 1ST. Gen stock skid plates
Having a plate is a good idea. I just happened to find out it wasn't an absolute must. Having one under the gas tank is another story! Even WITH a skid plate, my tank still got dented. Without it, I would have been walking home more than once! LOL!

Re: 1ST. Gen stock skid plates
I've got one I'd probably sell you. Anybody know what these go for? Shipping costs? This is in great shape. It just has some real light surface rust from being out last winter.

Re: 1ST. Gen stock skid plates
Hey Bryan, in that pic above there are two brackets missing from that crossmember...Just to let you know. The crossmember attaches to both lower and upper frame rails.
On the right you can see the upper frame bracket going up to the top of the frame.

Also have a pic of mine, back on my old storage barn thread. Mine came off a 72 suburban, and has worked fine.

Hey BigDon, I like the way you've got the skid plates and crossmembers and etc layed out in that pic. That looks cool! Thank's!
