Re: Guys with out a garage/what car cover are you using?? For winter

Have you thought about any of the portable/non-permanent style shelters?

Above that I can't tell you what will work. I can tell you of one that will not based on my experience. California Car Cover, NOAH covers. Wore through in several spots within one year of use even though the product touts "the NOAH fabric performs excellently whether it is for indoor or very lengthy outdoor use". I don't know what "very lengthy outdoor use" means to them but I would think a year would fall well within that. Although I would say as an indoor cover it would work very well I think. But that doesn't solve your problem.

Based on those results I would think this also eliminates the Stormweave, DustStop, California CustomWeave, Plushweave and Softweave. That only leaves Extremeweave, Superweave and Ultraweave options from CA Car Cover.

I have one of the shelter logic barn style with the heavier fabric and it is great. NO WAY this thing is falling on my vehicle or blowing away.

Don't buy the cheap junk and anchor it as it is supposed to be and there will be no problems. Another happy New England winter shelter!!

I have always, and will continue to, use California Car Cover Company covers. Super happy with the ones I have had for various vehicles (three thus far), price isn't bad either.

I have a friend who had his car under a portable shed kinda thing and the wind knocked it over and damaged his virgin 71 monte carlo... id never use one of those mobile kinda things... a car cover like jeff has is prolly the best as long as its breatheable

Have one bought from Summitt (Ithink ) Brand is "Wolf " for outdoor use . Used for 3 yr,s before Igot garage . Still in very good shape . Just as important to use it at least some of the time all year round . Sun's uv rays are your worst enemy.

The covers made with the Noah fabric are really good for repelling weather. The vehicle will still get slightly damp, but it dries out as well so moisture does not get trapped under the cover. I had one on my black Camaro & it did not scuff the paint.

There are many types of breathable fabrics available. The big difference in price between the cheap covers (and tarps) and the good covers is due to the breathable fabrics. Never ever cover a car/truck with a non-breathable cover. Condensation build-up under the cover can do lots of damage.

I have the max cover from empire its a 3 layer cover made from Tyvek developed by DuPont.
