Is it possible to take a photo without cutting both ends off the vehicle?

I see this kind of thing all the time on craigslist

Kind of like the photos, that are so dark, you can hardly tell what they are selling. Too big, too small or out of focus...makes you wonder how serious they are about selling. I have seen them so full of trash and other junk, it is hard to determine what you are buying.

Re: what is the deal with craigslist photos?

Years ago I read a tip about buying antique pocket watches online. It said, if the only pictures offered are not quite in focus, or have glare or flash reflections - assume it's intended to hide the truth and what you find in real life won't look anywhere near as good. Judging by the effort that went into the pics above, I'd say the same rule applies to vehicular yard art.

some people do just not know how to take a picture. some do have ulterior motives while most don't . It does pay to be aware though

I love it, vehicular yard art. I've got to remember that. Is it in the dictionary?

Re: what is the deal with craigslist photos?

How about this one.... great deal on CL shows up, be it a truck or whatever, and theres no phone number..... So now I have to go to me email, put the craiglist id in, send an email about the thing, wait for a response..... How could you not list a phone number if your trying to sell something?

Re: what is the deal with craigslist photos?

It looks like the pictures were taken while the truck was rolling down the hill into the canyon. Couldn't do a second take.

I've put ads in without phone numbers. My wife doesn't like to deal with the phone calls and I can weed out the clueless.

Re: what is the deal with craigslist photos?

I don't include my phone number in my ads either. I put in the ad: email me your phone number and I'll call you.
I once had a guy who came and looked at some front-end parts I had on Craigslist. He ended up buying them, but he told me he had done a reverse phone number look up on whitepages.com and already knew my name and address.

Re: what is the deal with craigslist photos?

I tried to call a lady on a car the other day... she listed her phone # only, and when I called her phone was disconnected, and I called about 45 minutes after she posted the ad.

Re: what is the deal with craigslist photos?

I guess she didn't sell quick enough to pay the phone bill...

I always include plenty of pictures and my cell number in my CL adds....how the hell you gonna talk the details.

I've noticed, some people wont, or can't figute out the e-mail thing. (which is wierd because they are online looking)

Sometimes, they have other people look up stuff because they're not into computers some people have told me....

I emailed a guy about pictures of something he was selling. He emailed me back and said he would send them if I sent him my email address.
