Tach/vac dash
Tach/vac dash for sale, I bought it for $350 a couple years ago, I'll sell it for $350 shipped. I have never used it, has just sat in the box, very nice shape.
See pics. JE Last edited by steinepstein; 11-30-2009 at 07:31 PM. Reason: Updated title correctly |

Re: Tach dash
Nice Tach/vac dash. Should have it posted that way and it might get more attention? Shouldn't last long either way.

Re: Tach dash
JE... is this an aftermarket dash or an original tach/gauge assembly?

Re: Tach dash
Nate, it looks original to me. Aftermarket would be really green. Trevor

Re: Tach dash
I don't see anything that indicates aftermarket parts on this. Lemme see if I can find the guy I bought this from.

Re: Tach dash
That dash is OE without a doubt, it even has the correct vacuum gauge nipple on the back of the gauge.

Re: Tach dash
I don't see any scratches on the lenses or bezel chroming. Lemme see if I can get some better pics, I'll turn off the flash. I did see a little bit of discoloration on the oil pressure gauge.

Re: Tach dash
Ok, updates:
I had my face buried in this thing looking for discrepancies, so here they are, all very small. Also, I can send a big megabyte file of the front dash shot to anyone that PMs me their email and will attempt to take any other shots that anyone wants to see. Tach is for 8 cylinder. If someone could explain the difference btw 6 and 8 cyl, I'd like to know. The lenses are clean, if there is scratching it is very much light surface stuff, from cleaning. I could barely see anything. The chroming on the bezel is nice, I didn't find one area where the chrome was bad, falling off, etc. However, at the bottom of the gas gauge bezel, where the chroming is located, there is an indentation on the bezel, it is quite small, less the half the size of my pinky nail. I touched it and felt around and the chroming looks and feels intact, so it could be a very small blemish in the plastic molding, it's not easy to see. The discoloration is on the white of some of the gauges, a couple small dots, very small. Also, the two small attaching rivets? on the gas gauge show oxidation. Those rivets are probably a little larger than a ball point pen. JE Last edited by steinepstein; 12-02-2009 at 07:43 PM. Reason: Misspelling |

Re: Tach dash
I just shipped a medium size package to Canada and they tacked on $20 through USPS to go through customs, etc. I'm happy to do it again, it wasn't that bad. I'd say $30 extra for this size.

Re: Tach dash
The 8 cylinder tach will show one RPM for each 4 or 8 (I am unsure) times it fires and the 6 cylinder will show one RPM for each 3 or 6 times it fires.

Re: Tach dash
I would definitely not call it damage in any way. This is a used tach/vac dash in cherry condition for being used. The issues I am pointing out are very minor. I'd be willing to be 85% of the people looking at this dash would call it excellent condition.
I'm holding at $350 shipped on this thing, it is an original dash and the chroming is perfect with one minor blem about 3mm wide. Once it is mounted on your dash there is almost no way you could see it. JE |

Thanks, Kevin
