what size of tires on 67 1/2 ton?

I have a 67 1/2 ton with 215/70R/15 tires. I'm going to need new tires soon & I want to get bigger tires to fill in the space better. What size will look good? I have the original wheels. Thanks in advance for any help.

ges55, I have 32in tires on my 68 c 10. They fill up the wheelwells nicely and they dont rub on turns. My truck is stock height.

That would be about a 285/75/15. Would that fit on my stock wheels?

I dont know how wide stock rims are. 285 75 15 tires are 31.5 inches in dia. 15 inch rim and 8.5 width. its the width i dont know about, the dia and rim size is perfect.
ejelta.com has a good tire size calculator hope that helps

oh yea also my tires are 8.5 wide so the tires will definitely fit under your wheelwells at stock height

Re: what size of tires on 67 1/2 ton?

I just checked on 1010tires.com. The recomended rim with for 285/75/15 is 7.5 to 9 inches Right now im trying to find a 32 inch tire that will fit on a 5.5 or 6 inch rim. Is that where you ran into trouble? also i spend summers in indiana right on the ill state line 30 miles north of terrhaute so if its warm out i might see you at a show..

235/75/15 is pretty common for a 2wd truck. That's what I'm running. I think they look good on stock and lowered trucks.

Re: what size of tires on 67 1/2 ton?

wouldnt that be a 235-75-r15 then for the thinner steel wheels? if youre running 15x8 rallye`s, then Id say at least a 255-70-r15
